This just proves that there are easy ways to reduce costs and do something cool for the environment. According to Ecofont, the production of ink is a carbon dioxide-intensive process, so the company developed a relatively simple way for folks to spend up to 25% less on ink. Saving on ink and toner, we can presume, thereby reduces the environmental load.
Ah, and there are some even simpler ways to cut back on the ink. Just switching your default typeface to Century Gothic or Times New Roman can slash ink costs by about 15%. Our default at work is already set to Calibri, but I've always kind of been an Arial girl ... until now, that is.
How cool is this? I am constantly amazed at the innovative things people are coming up with to ease the burden on the environment. Stories like these give me hope that we actually can make this a healthier, more sustainable place to live without having to adopt a lifestyle that was all the rage in the 1700s. Practical green living, people. It's possible.
